Are you one of those millions of ‘abangers’ (one who anticipates) for the announcement whether classes are going to be suspended this rainy season?

Who’s not? A daybreak to have a nice long sleep and rest would be very much rewarding, giving yourself a big favor. A time for a short breath from the tons of things happening all at once in a swift.

‘Hinga-hinga din bes para di mastroke ganern.’ (Rest so you won’t get stroked)

Your prayers have been answered, finally you saw that post #walangpasok or #classessuspended what to do with your day? You can still be productive while having your strongly wished day off from work or school.

So if you found yourself nothing to do and get bored in the middle of your ‘walang pasok’ day here are things you can try do while having your well- deserved rest and still be productive for the rest of the day:

1. Pamper yourself

Give yourself a much-needed facial, bath or massage soaking your skin with those herbs, clay, oils or essentials. There are plenty of self-help tutorial on Youtube.

If going out for a movie is not so convenient for you since it’s raining outside well, time for Netflix and your Kdramas.

When it’s raining and it’s cold, it’s a perfect time for cuddling. Ooops.. not your jowa. You can have pet cuddle, stuff toy cuddle, bestie cuddle as alternatives. It’s okay… I feel yah.

5. Be a Chef for a day.

Explore the kitchen you have long been ignoring for your time usually doesn’t permit you to cook your favorite buffalo wings or your salted egg shrimp, or even whip up a cheesecake to impress.

We cannot under weigh the vital importance of reflecting, having our ‘me time’. Getting connected to your deep self again. Best to do this through yoga, journal writing, listening to music etc.
